Elena
Svets

Elena Svets (Voloshina) was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and graduated from Kharkiv University with a degree in Psychology. She later devoted herself to the fashion industry, working as a model in Moscow and Paris with renowned designers. For many years she lived in France and Monaco, where her children were born.

Art has always been an essential part of her life. Her mother, an architect, and her father, an economist, both painted in oils, while her grandmother worked in a museum, nurturing Elena’s deep appreciation for art and culture from an early age.

In 2020, Elena first picked up a pencil while attending an art studio once a week. Within months, after studying the fundamentals of academic painting, she began working with oils. Her artistic development was remarkably rapid, marked by bold compositions, expressive emotion, and a vibrant use of colour.

At the same time, Elena discovered her talent for poetry. Her first poetry collection was published and successfully presented in major bookstores in Russia, followed by children’s books that further revealed her creative versatility.

Her paintings have been featured in charity auctions and acquired by well-known actors and political figures in both Russia and the United Kingdom.

This work was inspired by a journey to Morocco and its mesmerizing shades of blue and indigo. The Sikh warriors portrayed symbolize the protection of goodness, justice, compassion, and selfless support for the vulnerable. The painting radiates strength, love, and spiritual energy.

Elena creates her works intuitively and intensely, often completing them within days. The “Sikhs” series consists of seven paintings, each carrying its own emotional depth and magnetic presence.

For the artist, life is impossible without colour — and through this colour, she hopes to share light, love, and inspiration with the viewer.
