Established by Irina Emtseva in the heart of London in 1999, Peace & Colour Gallery is a private gallery specialising in showcasing outstanding artists from around the world and dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity and the wealth of human creativity. We are a vibrant platform where art is not just contemplated; it’s experienced. We celebrate the unique vision and instinct of each artist we showcase.
Our founder and director Irina Emtseva, from early on in life, pursued her innate passion for the visual arts and studied architecture at the State University of her hometown – the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok. She subsequently has expanded her practice to the fields of interior design and theatrical costume and stage design. Irina eventually ventured out into the art world – into curating, dealing and collecting. As an art dealer, Irina always advocated transparency and prioritised authenticity, artistic mastery and statement. She invested in remarkable art that would stand the test of time – art that brings certain social value, conveys powerful enduring narratives and has undeniable aesthetic allure. Irina preferred knowing the artists personally and gaining understanding of their perspective while having unforgettable experiences and conversations with them. Her career path culminated in the founding of Peace & Colour Gallery within London’s bustling gallery ecosystem. Irina staged notable presentations of extraordinary works imported from abroad, charting new terrain. Peace & Colour Gallery became an international meeting place that brings together a worldwide audience and is a destination for original, distinctive and niche art. Irina’s collection has caught the eye of local collectors, art lovers and celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Michael Portillo, George Galloway, Harry Hyman, Princess Galitsyna and others. Currently, Peace & Colour Gallery houses an extensive eclectic collection of contemporary, modern and Victorian fine art as well as photographic works.
Since its opening, Peace & Colour Gallery held more than sixty exhibitions that predominantly took place in the United Kingdom with the others launched abroad in locations such as Paris, Dubai and Singapore. The evocative shows have been featuring carefully curated selections of paintings by incredible artists of Ukrainian, Jewish, Russian, Uzbek, Armenian, Georgian, Swedish, Spanish, French, British and other descents. Peace & Colour Gallery is beyond proud to represent Anton Yakutovych, Serhiy Savchenko, Sergei Cherkasov, Alexander Sigov, Anatoly Shapovalov, Sergei Chepik, Manuel Quintanilla, Stepan Arefin, Tommy TC Carlsson, Larissa Stenlander, Andrei Medvedev, Vladimir Clavijo-Telepnev, Eduard Kulish, Ilona Gansovskaya, Boris Levit- Broun, Lavrenty Bruni, Larisa Belima, Elena Samoilik, Anne Ghenassia, Igor Tcholaria, Alexander Antadze, Georgi Apakidze, Timur Akhmedov, Howard J.
